- Jane Dpe Added December 29, 2017★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Restaurant was closed for holidays and supposed to open again on a Thursday. Message on phone says not opening until Sunday due to delivery problems.
Rang at 2pm on Sunday and left phone number, as requested, booking a table for that night.
No return phone call, as promised, so rang the restaurant at 5.32....2 minutes after opening.
Fully booked...Seems to me success breeds greed and contempt...

I worked in Leichhardt for 15yrs & Local Italian could compete with any of them admirably. World award winning Lemoncello and a Nona who makes the best rabbit ragout I've ever tasted even the kids gobbled it up. Woodfire pizzas to die for luscious lasagne and a fabulous family atmosphere. Don't be misled by location Local Italian is Bargo's best kept secret. Five stars
